It's a pleasure to meet you! My name is Esther Chu (she/her/hers) and I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors, a Canadian Certified Counsellor with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association, as well as the founder of Sandigan Wellness. I am also an approved ICBC Service Provider for counselling.

When it comes to healing and/or pushing through challenges in life, it is normal to wish for someone to walk alongside you. Whether your area of concern be surrounding mental health challenges, exploring the many parts of your identity that make you who you are, processing traumas, or learning new personal skills, I will join you on your journey towards clarity, understanding, and moving forward. There is no one right way to make steps towards your goal, but together we will find your path.

Sandigan Wellness acknowledges that it is located and operates on the ancestral, unceded, and rightful lands of the Musqueam, Squamish, Tsleil-Waututh, Stó:lō, and Kwikwetlem First Nations.

The word Sandigan is a Tagalog word meaning "to lean on" or "to support." At Sandigan Wellness we view it as a privilege for clients to feel that they can lean on us for support as they go through challenges in life. Sandigan Wellness offers a safe, non-judgmental, and collaborative space to explore parts of life that are weighing on you at a pace that feels right for you.

SERVICES

Currently at Sandigan Wellness we are intaking new clients primarily for individual services. Family counselling services are considered on a case-by-case basis. We offer clinical counselling for individuals aged 13+ offered online and in-person. Online services are provided via Jane platform (no download needed) while in-person services are offered at either of our two locations: Vancouver and Langley.
